Interesting Facts

Plant gets its name from the shape of its showy flowers.  Is actually native to Europe, but has adapted well to our climate.  It is said that this plant's foliage inspired the "Corinthian columns motif" that was so popular in ancient Greek art and architecture.  Has been used as a medicinal herb to soothe burns and ease an irritated digestive tract.  Dramatic flower spires are perfect when cut for arrangements.
