Interesting Facts

Native to Central Asia but is very well-adapted to Texas.  It is not a true salvia, but is called "sage" because it smells strongly like "sage" plants.  From summer through fall, this plant will literally hum with the sound of bees drinking nectar from the flowers.  Butterflies also love the flowers.
